Gosforth Pottery is a working pottery in the Western Lake District, 5 miles from Wastwater which was voted ‘Britains favourite view’ in 2008. Based in an old farmhouse, we make our own pottery much of which is which is inspired by the local lakes and hills.

In our shop we stock our own work and work from many other potters, Lake District prints by Barbara Wright and stunning pictures of the local surroundings by Wasdale photographers.

Potters for over 25 years, we run weekend and week-long pottery courses for beginners to experienced potters – offered with or without accommodation

We also have 2 self-catering cottages with 5 star ratings from Cumbria Tourist board, available throughout the year.
